Time Stranger digivolution: requirements, personality and a blocked evolution
By Majinken! · Updated 2026-10-21
A higher level alone does not guarantee a Time Stranger digivolution. Read the target’s requirements first: Agent Rank, individual stats and any personality or special unlock conditions are different gates. Buying a larger edition does not replace those checks.
This is a sourced explanation of the raising systems, checked October 21, 2026. It is not a tested endgame build or a complete species database.
Why will my Digimon not evolve?
Work through the target shown in your game, rather than following a level number from a different Digimon game.
| The condition you are missing | Your next check |
|---|---|
| Agent Rank | Check your current agent progression. Increasing a Digimon’s attack does not change your agent’s rank. |
| A named stat | Compare the current value with the target’s requirement; choose training for that shortfall. |
| Personality | Check the current personality on the status screen and the target’s stated condition. |
| A special unlock or item | Read that condition separately before spending more time on ordinary levels. |
| A DLC route | Confirm ownership and installation of the relevant pack as well as the in-game requirements. |
RPG Site’s hands-on system explanation documents the requirement display, branching paths and evolution outside battle. It is a September 2025 preview, so use your installed game’s displayed conditions for exact thresholds and later additions.
What does personality change?
Bandai Namco’s official systems introduction explains that personality affects how stats grow at level-up and therefore the evolution paths you can reach. It also describes farm training to raise stats, feeding for bond points and Agent Skills unlocked with Anomaly Points.
Our suggested approach: pick a target, identify the largest unmet condition, then choose an action that addresses it. For example, if your game shows enough Agent Rank but insufficient attack, more agent progression is not the immediate answer. If rank is the missing condition, training an already sufficient stat does not resolve it.
Do not assume a personality that helps one route is the best choice for every Digimon. Read the effect and requirements for the route you actually want.
Should I de-digivolve or train in the DigiFarm?
Inspect the available reverse paths and their conditions before committing. The same RPG Site preview describes personality and prior encounters as relevant to de-digivolution, and notes that farm training removes a Digimon from the active and reserve party. Leave yourself a usable battle team while working on another member.
We do not provide a universal number of evolution cycles or copy a preview’s timer into a current-version guarantee. Compare the values and tutorial text visible in your game before planning a long training session.
Where do DLC Digimon fit?
If the target is one of the additional routes, look up its pack in our DLC contents table. That table lists the 15 named routes from the original three episode packs, with publisher sources. It is not a list of every Digimon in the base game or the announced 2027 expansion.
For a particular species, the useful information is the exact path, requirements and your current progress—not an unsupported “best Digimon” ranking. We will add individual build recommendations when we can state the game version, encounter and tested equipment behind them.
