# Monster Hunter Stories 3: platforms, demo saves and Time Stranger comparison

**Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is a turn-based monster-raising RPG, rather than the real-time hunting combat of Monster Hunter Wilds.** It is an option for players comparing creature games after Time Stranger who also want to hatch and raise monsters in the Monster Hunter setting.

This is a guide based on publisher, store and support information checked October 21, 2026. We have not completed a playthrough or measured frame rates, and do not assign a review score.

## Which platforms can you play it on?

Capcom lists **Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC** in its [platform announcement](https://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/news/pdf/e250801.pdf). That list does not include the original Switch, Lite or OLED. Do not mistake the platform support of earlier Stories games for that of Stories 3.

We do not infer handheld results from a desktop specification.

Capcom’s [feature explanation on PlayStation Blog](https://blog.playstation.com/2025/12/11/new-monster-hunter-wilds-update-4-and-monster-hunter-stories-3-details/) describes Habitat Restoration: releasing hatched monsters can rebuild populations and affect the eggs and traits available in an area. That is a different raising focus from Time Stranger’s evolution branches. It is a reason to try the systems, not proof that one game is universally better.

## How do you transfer the demo save?

**Make a manual save in Slot 1 at a Catavan Stand.** Capcom’s FAQ says an autosave alone cannot transfer to the full game. Before starting the full version, confirm that this manual trial save exists.

If you have already started and autosaved a new full-game playthrough, stop before overwriting or deleting progress. Capcom documents that this can prevent importing the trial save; consult its support instructions for your platform and check which save you are handling. We have not performed that recovery on your console.

## Standard, Deluxe or Premium Deluxe on Steam?

The Steam product page separates these editions and also sells a **Deluxe Kit**. A kit/add-on should not be mistaken for a standalone copy of the base game. Compare the included items against the extras you actually want before paying for a larger edition.

The PC listing has English and Japanese full audio and distinguishes those from interface/subtitle languages. These details apply to the linked Steam product, not every imported console package. Our recommendation is to try the trial on your intended hardware, then compare the base game first if the additional edition items do not matter to you.
